AnyMail Plus
is an extension of our AnyMail form mailer. Please read the features
of that program here: This document will deal
with the extended functions and not repeat the list of the regular AnyMail
features, as this version works the exact same way when used as a standard
form mailer.
Additional
Features
AnyMail Plus
can be used to log emails (not the senders email address!) sent to a list of contact names/addresses that
you can manage from the administration area.
It uses a list
of "contacts" and email addresses that you maintain via the administration
area. It can create a log entry when someone sends an email to a contact
on your list. It works much like our Email Them
program, except that AnyMail Plus uses forms.
You can use
the same forms as with the standard AnyMail, and if you decide that you
want logging enabled, you just add a field to your forms. There is also a
utility included in the package that can be called using SSI to include
this field in your forms. It simply creates a drop down menu from your
list of contacts. Then, when your list of contacts changes, so with the
select options in your AnyMail Plus forms.
AnyMail Plus
logs emails sent to a log file, which then can be viewed and deleted from
the admin script. The log file is formatted like so:
123.456.789.123 [2003-3-01 15:14:15] http://veinotte.ca/sendthem-test.htm
- contactname
Which is:
The Visitors IP address, time, referring URL and contact that was emailed.
If you wish
to log times different than your servers time, you can add or subtract
hours in the configuration file. If you want to disable logging, you just
turn it off. Use it when convenient. Different contact pages within your
site can have different forms - the program will only log when logging is
enabled and the extra form field is included.
NOTE:
This program does not log the senders email address, and altering it to do
so is not permitted! Any such abuse will result in the termination of your
usage license.
Again,
please read the features of AnyMail in addition
